New Jersey’s true gems are its county parks. Not far from where I sit, Essex, Union, Somerset, and Morris County all converge. This spring, I encourage you to visit all the county parks.

In Essex County, be sure to visit the South Mountain Reservation. It has over 2,000 acres of preserved land with wonderful trails, waterfalls, and an unparalleled lookout view. At the bottom of the hill, you can also check out the Turtleback Zoo, which is a great place to take your kids.

Union County features the amazing Trailside Nature and Science Center, attached to the Watchung Reservation. Again, there are 2,000 acres of preserved lands, as well as rivers and lakes. They also have a state of the art facility devoted to wildlife education.

In Somerset County, visit the Washington Rock Park, the historic lookout for Washington’s troops during the Revolutionary War. You can also visit Duke Farms, a fantastic estate famous for its hiking and biking trails.

Finally, head over to Morris County to see the Great Swamp. The Great Swamp is great for hikers and bikers. It’s also a fun place to bring the kids because you can see the raptor preserve, which helps rehabilitate birds of prey.

This spring, get out there and check out all of the county parks, not just your own. If you have any questions about fun things to do, give me a call or send me an email. I would be happy to help you!

What Are My Clients Saying?

Unbeknownst to me, some of my clients were surveyed about the level of service they received in 2015, and I’m happy to report that they rated me at the highest level. What’s special about this award is not that it’s about how much I sold, but about the level of service I provided.

I like being a real estate agent because I like helping people in their time of need. As real estate agents, we have a deep call to do that. But what sets our team apart is how detail-oriented and driven we are to accomplish the process for our clients, regardless of what it takes.

I’m very proud of my Zillow reviews. Naturally, after each successful transaction, I ask my clients to fill out a review, but ultimately it’s up to them to take the time to fill one out. I’m happy to say that I’ve gotten a positive response, so feel free to share my Zillow profile with any friends or family who might be looking for an agent right now!

Never assume that any referral is too complex or too small. My goal is to give anyone and everyone five-star service, regardless of what their real estate goals are. Your referrals are the lifeblood of our company, and they are what inspire us to improve as a team!

If you have any real estate questions, or if you would like our assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us. We would love to hear from you!

Avoid These Mistakes When Renting Out Your Jersey Home

Have you considered renting out your own home? It’s a very difficult decision to make, and to be honest, renting is a lot more detailed oriented than just selling it. To this day, I have not seen many people make a big profit off of it. If you decide to do this, here are some do’s and don’ts for you.

Make sure that you do these things:
  • Market the home aggressively to find the best tenants.
  • Understand the tax implications and true carrying costs.
  • Run the credit score of the tenant as a requirement.
  • Require them to purchase renter’s insurance.
  • Require them to do handiwork valued at less than $100.

On the flipside, here is what not to do when renting out your home:
  • Don’t rely on the tenant to maintain major appliances
  • Don’t rely on the tenant to maintain temperature if away on vacation

These are only a few of the pro’s and cons of renting out your home. It’s a big decision with a lot of room for error, so I recommend that you meet with me and we decide whether this would be a good investment or not.

I look forward to hearing from you!
