Clients often ask, “When’s the best time to sell my home?” According to the Auto Group, there’s a sales peak around April. These sales include properties marketed during the beginning of the year. Therefore, it’s best to list during the first quarter. Here’s why:
- Young couples are excited about buying a home. There’s a lot of optimism at the start of a new year from first-time home buyers!
- There’s less competition. At the start of the new year, less homes are on the market. Inventory is always low during the winter, especially compared to the spring. This is your opportunity to stand out!
- There’s less foliage on the ground. It’s a great time to see the landscape! Serious buyers are out there looking at not only the inside of a home, but outside, too.
- Listing sooner helps to price aggressively. You have time to make adjustments before the summer market hits.
