Today we just wanted to take a moment to invite you to the Anthony Quinn Dinner and Movie Night! The event is going to be on Saturday, April 23rd, from 6 to 9 p.m. This year, we will be showing Frederico Fellini’s 1954 masterpiece, La Strada. This movie stars my father, Anthony Quinn, and Fellini’s wife, Giulietta Masina.
What was so special about this movie is that it broke the mold of the big-budget Hollywood films of the time. We liken it to an independent film. This film made Anthony Quinn an international star and critics said “La Strada” was a new way of making movies.
The event will be held at Masker’s Barn in The Deserted Village on the Watchung Reservation in Berkeley Heights at 9 Cataract Hollow Road. It’s conveniently located between highway 78 and route 22 and is closest to exit 41, the Scotch Plains, Brooklyn Heights exit. Dinner will be catered by La Strada, a wonderful italian restaurant who named their restaurant after the movie!
